were looking to create a CRM system from scratch but have no idea where to start, what is the best methods/technology to use .
we dont want to use a commercial software so please dont send links.

    First… Content management is CMS not CRM. CRM is Customer Relationship Management.
    Do a Google search for “hosted CMS” there are tones of providers. Depends what you are looking for.

    The best technology is hiring someone who knows how to create a CMS. Creating one from scratch requires years of programming experience – just as a minimum. (At least 5 years, 10-15 years of actually developing commercial websites would be better.)
