We are using Microsoft Dynamics 3.0 and have seen signficant improvements in this in the past years. Needs or corporations changes and the software will adapt to these needs

SOA and DRM are the staggering blocks to CRM, yes Compliance is a good thing, but as long as one Corp holds there software secret and does not allow the Buyer to view it or modify it to fit their needs, well that is what stops Innovation and leaves no Incentive to develop.

I agree with you. I think the future of CRM is the merging of information about the customer across channels (online, in store, catalogue, phone, etc.) in a comprehensive way. Any company who is not about understanding their customer and crafting their marketing messages to them will fail.

I think CRM is the wave of the future and will continue to be popular. Being able to market and sell to existing customers is a key part to a business, as it is a lot cheaper to keep a customer than to try to gain a new one. However, with high turnover in all areas of sales, this becomes a difficult task. Of course your best salespeople have been there a long time and would already follow-up in some sort of way. However, a CRM system makes sure everyone gets contacted and has management looking over their shoulders to make sure the customers are being contacted. To truly grow your business, a good CRM system is needed for the future.
