Help Please? Im Confused!?
Hi,
i was wondering if it is possible that on the ultrasound my doc may have accidently measured my baby’s CRM length from the feet to the head instead of the head to its bottom.
The reason im asking if its off is because they changed my due date to June 10th, when i had a FOR SURE LMP on Sep 11, and my cycles come pretty regulary, i believe i felt ovulation on sep 24th, so i don’t know what to believe.
my baby is healthy and i can’t wait to have her, I am 34 weeks and 2 days, my originally estimated due date was June 17th, after the ultrasound they said my estimated due date was June 10th
Is it possible that my baby was concieved earlier or the ultrasound is just off?
Just wonderin, please read carefully and answer! thankyou

Ultrasounds are usually very accurate. It is common for the due date to change a little bit as things progress. Remember, the due date isn’t the day your baby will be born, it is the middle of the expected range (of 3 weeks) in which you will go into labor. However, if you child is large for his/her gestational age, that may be why the ultrasound shows them as older. You should probably ask your doctor for an explanation. I doubt you have very much to worry about though. Congratulations! My due date was June 10th too!
It’s just an estimated due date. Even if they moved it to the 10th if you don’t go into labor by then they will usually wait another week or two to see if you do. It’s only a difference of a week. Ultrasounds have a margin of error of like 10% I think it is. So either the ultrasound is off or you conceived early. No big deal really.
Due dates are completely sporadic. They can either be earlier or later than the actual day you’ll give birth. And labor could even be at 10 pm and go into the next day too, therefore that is why doctors always need to tell you this is approximate. And everyone else on here is right in saying the farther along you are, the more accurate they can set a day that you can expect to go in labor. Be ready for another tiny change but it won’t be much. Especially since you said a week was the difference. That’s normal
I think the ultrasounds are a lil off, my estimated due date was sept 21, then when i had my ultrasound to find out the sex, they switched it to the 15…i ended up having my baby boy on the 24
The farther ur along the more they know. Some times they think some thing and later on find out the truth or real thing. I was like a whole week change due the 27th and changed to the 17
your baby is may just be larger than the average size. Your doc should’ve stayed with the original due date..
